Young's modulus determination using strong static bending of a cantilever

Describes an experiment which is unusual in that it not only allows for large angle bending but specifically requires that such bending occurs. The result obtained for the Young's modulus of the steel comprising the cantilever is in good agreement with two other methods used the same specimen.
