Synthesis and properties of new antiferroelectric liquid crystals with tetralin core

Abstract New antiferroelectric liquid crystals with tetralin core were synthesized. There is the limitation of the molecular length to exhibit SmCA* phase. The stability of SmCA* phase depends on the position and orientation of tetralin core.
