Reasoning from the requirements specified in Part I of the work with respect to limitations of the inhomogeneity of mechanical characteristics at the fuel cell − case joint, methods were developed to comply with the above requirements and provide efficient operation of the fuel cell in solid-propellant power systems of space-rocket hardware. The proposed methods of improving the homogeneity of characteristics and decreasing the stress concentration in a near-case zone rely on optimized formulation and choice of elements of the fastener system as well as fastener lock designs and allow an increase of 30-40 % in the service life of solid-propellant power systems.
