Ultra-wideband THz metamaterial absorber loaded with lumped elements and graphene

An ultra-wideband THz metamaterial absorber (MMA) loaded with lumped elements and graphene is proposed. The MMA has achieved an ultra-wideband absorption from 6.1THz to 18.5THz with average absorptance over 90%, and the relative bandwidth reaches 112.7%. The excellent absorption properties superior to the ordinary MMAs are owing to the effect comes from lumped resistors and graphene surface plasmon (GSP).
