Rolling elements of a rolling bearing

2010
The invention relates to a rolling element (1) of a rolling bearing, comprising a receiving bore (2) for at least one sensor (3), wherein the at least one sensor (3) at a location between the two axial end faces (4, 5) of the roller body (1 ) (in the receiving bore (2) with a diameter d) by means of at least one holding device (6) (in the rolling element 1) is held axially fixed. In order to keep the sensor even when cured due to distorted receiving bore safe in the rolling element, the invention provides that the holding device (6) is formed by a sleeve-like, hollow cylindrical member having a space for receiving the at least one sensor (3) in its interior, wherein the sleeve-shaped element (6) has at least one axial position of an elastic, radially resilient outwardly fixing element (7, 8) having in the intended state of the roller body (1) has an outer diameter (D) of the diameter (d) of the receiving bore (2) exceeds, and so an axial undercut the receiving bore (2) dominates.
