Rinossinusite crónica: Correlação entre a clínica e o score lund-mackay
2017
Introduction : The correct diagnosis of chronic rhinosinusitis with (CRSwNP) or without (CRSsNP) polyposis implies a well performed anamnesis and physical examination to, judiciously, request a paranasal sinuses CT scan (CT NS)1. Lund and Mackay suggested a paranasal sinuses opacification score (SLM)2 based on CT NS. Objective : To test a possible correlation between clinical findings and SLM. Methods : Retrospective controlled study of CRSw/sNP patients undergoing FESS during 2013. Results : Using the linear regression, we found that each additional symptom incresead SLM in 2,5 units (95% CI:1,9 – 3,2). With the binary logistc regression, we found that rhinorrhea (OR = 29; 95% CI 2-539), nasal pruritus (OR = 20; 95% CI 1-394) and nasal obstruction (OR = 17, 95 2-133%) were risk factors for SLM> 4. Conclusion : We found a positive correlation between the clinical findings and the SLM.
