Paper No P15: Enhancement of Extraction Efficiency in OLED with Multi‐Cathode Structure Prepared on a Plastic Substrate

Light extraction of organic light-emitting device has been successfully enhanced by preparing on a plastics substrate. We describe optical design method of mode conversion for reducing optical losses in waveguide and evanescent modes by introducing a new cathode and a plastic substrate. The phosphorescent green light emitting device exhibits higher light extraction by a factor of 2–3.
