It discusses how disability can be defined as the limitations imposed on disabled people by society Researcher Malcom Johnston discusses contrasting models of disabiltiy and how those have shaped attitudes towards disability He also outlines the results of a research survey into disabled people’s lifestyles and the key consumer groups it identified. Disability awareness trainer Katy Owen’s personal views and experiences are used to illustrate the reality of living as a disabled person and how inclusive design can help.
