Dynamo States with Strikingly Different Symmetries Coexisting in Global Solar Simulations

We present new global 3D MHD simulations of the solar convection zone that exhibit two distinct states of the dynamo coexisting simultaneously. We discuss our results in terms of the solar active longitudes and hemispheric asymmetry.
