Development trend and priority research area of current soil science

Soil science is an important basic subject to agriculture and resource sciences.At present,the main features of soil sciences research in China are tightly connected with other subjects and it gets more and more strong.There also come forth more and more subdisciplines from soil sciences.The subdisciplines of soil sciences have their own key points and priority individually.Techniques and methods of soil science research have been developed and improved greatly.Additionally,more and more attention is paid on long term experiment research.With the development of agriculture and soil science,as well as the technological advancement,the development trend of soil science research is getting more and more devitrified.For soil sciences,it is prevailing of normalization,standardization,and quantification of research techniques and extensive application of new techniques and methods.International cooperation is also getting strong.More and more attention is paid on efficient utilization of soil resource and ecological environment protection.Within the next 10～15 years,the key point research of current soil sciences in China may focus on improvement and adjustment of soil quality.These researches include efficient utilization of soil nutrients resources,relationship between soil productivity and carbon sequestration mechanism,evolution characteristics and evaluation system of soil fertility,improvement of impediment and low productive soils,remediation and restoration of contaminated soil environments and so on.
