Clinical analysis on coblator plasma surgery curing obstructive sleep apnea syndrome

Objective There are many surgical ways to cure obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS),among them,coblator plasma surgery(CPS) and uvulopalatopharyngoplasty(UPPP) have been used in clinic.This article analyses the application state of the two ways,so as to select the best.Methods 30 cases of light and middle OSAS patients whose AHI were monitoring by PSG for 10~40 and divided into two groups.Analyzed recent cure result,surgical operation and complication.Results Recent curing result in two groups of patients were almost the same,total effective rate reached over 70%.Conclusion Selecting appropriately the patients which are suitable for operation is very important,and cure effect of light and middle patients are the best.There is certain danger and complication in surgery group,but there is no obvious complication in CPS group.Furthermore CPS operation is simple and worth to promote.
