Effect of CD151 on the expression of β-catenin and the angiogenesis in colorectal cancer

2019
Objective To explore the effect and mechanism of CD151 on angiogenesis in colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods The expression of CD151 and β-catenin were detected by Western blot and RT-qPCR in HT-29 and CD151--HT29 cells. The microvessel density of the transplanted tumor tissues was observed by immunohistochemistry CD34 labeled vascular endothelial cells. Results The expression of CD151 and β-catenin were lower in CD151--HT29 cells compared with HT29 cells (P<0.05). The microvessel density (MVD) count of the CD151--HT29 group was significantly lower than that of the HT-29 group (P<0.05). Conclusion CD151 could promote angiogenesis via up-regulate β-catenin in CRC. Key words: Colorectal neoplasms; CD151; β-catenin; Immunohistochemistry
