Research on genetic variance of common wild rice(Oryza rufipogon Griff)from a special habitat in Guangdong Province

Research on 25 common wild rice samples collected from special habitat located in forest area,far from cultivated rice field,in Fogang County,Guangdong Province were conducted.7 perennial and annual wild rice from abroad and 8 native cultivated rice varities were used as checks and 21 morph biological characters were evaluated to analysis genetic variances of the tested samples.The results showed that there were significant differences in 20 characters among of the 21 evaluated characters.Fuzzy cluster analysis showed that 25 samples of Fogang wild rice could be divided into four groups with significant difference from the checks.It is approved that there is rich in genetic variance in the special niche of common wild rice but no annual wild rice,cultivated rice and glutinous rice were found yet.
