Experimental study on curing Mycoplasma gallisepticum in chickens by using Guogensu of Chinese herb medicine

To observe the therapeutic efficacy of Guogensu(GGS) on chicken artificially induced by Mycoplasma gallisepticum(MG).Seven-day-age chicken which were healthy and had no MG infection had been infected by MG type strains,and were treated with GGS of 1.33‰(high dose),0.67‰(middle dose) and 0.33‰(low dose) through drinking with water,500 mg/L tylosin was as control.The therapeutic efficacy of GGS was evaluated through cure rate,mean weight,feed conversion ratio and balloon injury.The cure rates of high dose and middle dose GGS were 96.67%,and obviously elevated mean weight of infected chicken and degraded feed conversion ratio and lessen the balloon injury by MG,indicating that GGS effect was corresponded to tylosin.
