A method of preparing boron-containing aryl group of novolak resins, phenolic compound and a divalent metal salt catalyst was added to the kettle, an aldehyde compound is added twice, the first time after the addition, the reaction 0.5 at 50 ~ 70 ℃ ~ 2h, then added a second addition of acid catalyst, the reaction was warmed to reflux, and then removing water and unreacted phenolic compounds generated, i.e., to obtain a thermoplastic phenolic resin; acid boron compound is added to the novolak resin, then warmed to 100 ~ 120 ℃ reaction, and then removing the water formed, to obtain a boron-containing aryl group thermoplastic phenolic resin. Directly or thermoplastic phenolic resin and a boron-containing acid compound in the mixed solvent and then dried, to give aryl-boron-containing novolac resin. Since the addition of boron-containing acid compound containing an aryl boronic acid, therefore, the present invention is prepared containing arylboronic thermoplastic phenolic resin of low water absorption, low curing temperature, not only has excellent thermal properties, but also exhibit a superior manufacturability and mechanical properties.
