Effects of cold rolled and cryorolled on microstructures and mechanical properties of aluminium 1100 alloy

Deformed-grained with nanometer scale of aluminium 1100 alloy sheet was produced by rolling at cryogenic temperature and at room temperature. Al 1100 alloy sheet was reduced from an initial material thickness of 1.2 mm to a final thickness of 0.6 mm (50% reduction). Hardness value and strength were significantly increased about 20.1% and 38.23%, respectively. It was found that the increment of hardness and strength were correlated with the value of grain affect ratio, crystallite size and lattice strain of the sample.
