A Compact 600GHzElectronically Tunable Vector Measurement System forSubmillimeter WaveImaging

A compact submillimeter wave transmission/reflection measurementsystem has been demonstrated at560-635 GHz,withelectronic tuning overthe entire band.Maximumdynamicrangemeasuredata single frequency is90dB(60dBtypical), andphasenoise isless than +/-20.Byusing afrequency steerable lensatthesource output andmixerinput, thefrequency agility ofthesystem canbeused toscanthesource andreceive beams, resulting innearreal-time imaging capability using onlyasingle pixel.
