Chromatographic separation of diastereoisomeric 1,2:3,4-diepoxides on silica gel tlc plates impregnated with various inorganic salts

Abstract Silica gel plates impregnated with various inorganic salts were used for the analytical separation of diastereoisomeric 1,2:3,4-diepoxides, obtained from the bis-epoxidation of conjugated dienes. LiBr proved to give the best effect; considerably improved separations could be achieved in favorable cases.
