Epidemiology of suicidal attempts in Valencia

This research was prompted by the large difference found between rates of suicide attempts officially supplied in Spain and those reported in other European countries. Suicide attempts registered in the casualty books of all general and psychiatric facilities in Valencia (Spain) were recorded during 1982. Rates, age, method and disposal did not significantly depart from previous European reports.
