A method for receiving a video program that is simultaneously broadcast on a plurality of channels (CH1-CH7), being relatively offset a predetermined interval the start times (a1-a7) of the programs in the channels, the method comprising the steps of: previously storing a first segment (ae) of the video program, the duration of the first segment at least as long as said predetermined interval; in response to a command (106) user, start playback of said segment (ae) of the video program, previously stored, and selecting (109/110) one (CH3) of said neighboring channels (CH1-CH7) paradespues of transmit the next part (e3-b3) of the video program following said first segment (ae) previously stored; recording said next part (e3-b3) of the video program from said channel (CH3) selected; and reproducing said next part (e3-b3) recorded video program after reproducing all of said first segment (ae) of the video program, previously stored.
