Online Virtual Tours

Online virtual tours offer structured, interactive explorations of sociologicallyrelevant web sites, where students gather, analyze, and evaluate information and then submit their responses online. Students proceed by accessing the virtual tour web page, which provides directions and links to selected web sites which open in a new browser window. The virtual tour page is actually an online form, and so students may toggle back and forth to collect information and then to enter it on the virtual tour page. I have created eighteen virtual tours covering a broad range of subject areas in sociology that other instructors are welcome to use.
