INOSIM Bio - new approaches for bioprocess simulation and optimization
2013
Abstract Process performance and efficiency depend predominantly on decisions made in early phases of process development. At this stage, however, the center of interest is often just the minimization of the time to market. Process alternatives, systematic experimental surveys, simulation studies, and process optimization are often cut down, which leads to processes more expensive and pollutive than their optimum. Therefore, this contribution presents a new bioprocess simulation and optimization tool. It was designed to assist bioprocess development from the first process idea to the final process. With its key features - an adaptive model library and innovative optimization strategy, it enables a holistic view and evaluation of all process alternatives over all phases of process development.
