Long-Term Indwelling Bilateral Ureteral Stents for Bilateral Hydronephrosis of Unknown Etiology

1993
AbstractWe describe a rare case of long-term indwelling bilateral ureteral stents that were replaced yearly for 7 years because of azotemia associated with bilateral hydronephrosis of undetermined etiology on radiological examinations. During year 5 the patient had an uneventful gestation with delivery of a normal neonate by cesarean section. Hydronephrosis remained improved for 2 years after withdrawal of the stents.
