A compact phasar with low central channel loss

An InP-based Phased Array Demultiplexer with a record low central channel loss of 0.4 dB has been fabricated using e-beam lithography and Titanium masking. Transmission losses of straight waveguides were on the level of 1 dB/cm for waveguide widths down to 0.5 mum.
