Fields of a Circularly Rotating Static Charge

2020
The problem of electromagnetic field radiation (EMF) has been rigorously solved with a static charge circularly rotating at a constant speed. It is shown that in a rotating reference frame, in addition to the electric field, a magnetic field is also excited, but they do not form an EMF. The spatial spectral components of the electric and magnetic fields in the far and near fields are analyzed. The electric and magnetic field vector components that form the electromagnetic field in a “fixed” reference frame are obtained. The expressions for the spectral components of the discrete frequency spectrum of the radiation field in the fixed reference frame are determined. The calculation results for various cases of charge velocity are presented. The angular polarization characteristics and the dependence of the radiation spectrum on the speed of the charge and the radius of the circle are analyzed.
