Synthesis of Stable Acyclic Aminals Derived from L-(+)-Aspartic Acid and Their Application in Asymmetric Henry Reactions

A series of stable acyclic aminals derived from L-aspartic acid are synthesized and successfully applied as chiral ligands in the Cu(II)-catalyzed Henry reaction of nitromethane with various aromatic aldehydes.
