Preoperative test of serum CA_125 for momtoring of extrauterine metastasis endometrial carcinoma

Objective To analyse preoperative of serum CA125 for monitoring of extrauterine metastasis endometrial carcinoma. Methods 64 patients with endometrial carcinoma admitted between Oct 1998 to Mar 2001 were prospectively studied, so as to know the surgical operation staging, pathological types and tissue grades. Trie results were analyzed by statistics. Results Among 64 cases, serum CA125 were positive in 17 , and the postivity was evidently correlated with surgical staging and pathological types (P 0.01) Conclusions Preoperative serum CA123 can be used as a useful marker for extrauterine metastasis preopera-tively.
