New medicinal composition

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a new medicine, consisting essentially of hyaluronic acid, etc., completely homogeneous and transparent when prepared as an eye drop and having adhesion to epithelium corneae without being accompanied with sensitizing actions. SOLUTION: This new medicine comprises (A) hyaluronic acid or its pharmaceutical permissible salt, and preferably (B) a medicinally active solution suitable for local administration. The ingredient B is absorbed percutaneously or pernasally or through the rectal mucous membrane and, concretely, streptomycin, erythromycin, kanamycin, neomycin, gentamicin, etc. The ingredient A is preferably a molecular weight fraction without substantially containing hyaluronic acid having <30000 molecular weight and has especially preferably 500000-730000 average molecular weight.
