Comparison Research on Two Harmonic Current Detection Methods of Single-phase Circuit Based on Instantaneous Power Theory

2009
The harmonic current detection method of single-phase circuit based on the instantaneous reactive power theory of three-phase circuit(the method 2 which has the shortest time delay) and the harmonic current detection method of single-phase circuit based on the instantaneous power theory of single-phase circuit are two harmonic current detection methods for active power filter based on instantaneous power theory, and the latter is much simpler than the former. For the sake of making clear the latter's detection performance, according to the MATLAB simulation models of the two methods, the MATLAB simulation model of comparing the two methods is created. On the basis of this, simulative comparisons between the two methods are done. The comparisons find:when the source voltage has no distortion, the detection precision of the latter is a bit lower than that of the former when the load current is placed in stable state, and they can smoothly track the amplitude of the fundamental active current and their dynamic-responding-times have no obvious difference when the load current is place in mutative state;when the source voltage has distortion, the detection precision of the latter is clearly lower than that of the former;when the frequency of the power supply shifts, the detection precision of the latter is clearly higher than that of the former.
