Optimierung der Maxxmill® bei der Nassmahlung keramischer Schlicker, Teil 2
2005
Raw materials with finer particle size and constant particle size distribution improve the quality of ceramic products as everybody knows. An increase in the specific surface area during the burning process also has a favourable effect in the creation of the ceramic material. Investigations into the wet grinding of ceramic suspensions with the MaxxMill® revealed significant optimisation potential. The use of new grinding tools leads to better energy conversion and an improvement in throughput during continuous milling. By specific reduction of the circumferential velocity of the grinding chamber, energy can be saved without losing product quality. The use of milling beads of a defined size produces an optimum result. To realize high throughput and high suspension densities, beads with high densities are necessary. Firstly this leads to energy savings during the milling process. Secondly thermic energy savings can be achieved during subsequent spray drying for producing press granulates.
