The invention provides an intelligent long-period natural field source electromagnetic measuring apparatus and an application method thereof. The apparatus comprises a sensor part (1), an analog-to-digital conversion module (2), an intelligent control module (3), a clock checking module (4), a storage module (5), a power conversion module (6), a lead acid battery (7), a communication module (8) and a portable computer (9). The parts coordinate with each other for operation, and natural field source electromagnetic signals are accurately measured on the ground. The frequency scope of the apparatus can reach 20S to n*10000S (n is a natural number from 1 to 10), the measuring amplitude scope is n*1uV to n*100mV (n is a natural number from 1 to 10), the measuring dynamic scope reaches 120 dB, the system noise is smaller than 1[mu]Vrms, the work temperature scope is from -20 DEG C to +70 DEG C, and the power consumption is smaller than 4W. The apparatus provided by the invention has the advantages of high reliability, multiple channels, large dynamic scope, high anti-interference capability, low power consumption, large storage medium capability and high intelligentization.
