Forest Monitoring System Implementation using Visual Basic and Android Application

This paper presents a Visual Basic and Android application for Malaysian forest sensor monitoring and tracking system. Visual Basic. Net application is to be designed and implement in real-time monitoring and tracking system. It will enable for conversion of raw image data into valid image file using Visual Basic. Net programming. MySQL database is use for data storage after conversion completed. Then, android application for Graphical User Interface (GUI) platform provides user viewing and data accessing. The VB.Net application is a medium between hardware and software of the system. The VB.Net application accepts data from IR camera, PIR sensor, limit switch and GPS module. The raw image data will be converted into JPEG image file and stored into computer directory while the other data sent to the MySQL database. The Android application provides user to have access and view data remotely using a smartphone.
