The finish rolling descaling box pinch roll and the control method thereof have the advantages that the water shutoff effect is good, the cost of production is saved, problems of flying shear maloperation and the like caused by inaccurate detection of a hot metal detector (HMD) can be avoided, and the service life of the descaling box pinch roll is prolonged.
