Asymmetric piercing electrode for piercing type lightning arrester

2015
An asymmetric piercing electrode for a piercing type lightning arrester comprises a piercing wire clamp (1), an arc-guiding foot (2) and an insulating cover (3), wherein the piercing wire clamp is mounted on a 10 kV insulated wire, and the arc-guiding foot is mounted below the 10 kV insulated wire; the piercing wire clamp (1) and the arc-guiding foot (2) are assembled together and then sleeved with the insulating cover (3), certain arcs can be withstood, and the problem of insulation defects caused by the fact that the insulated wire is partially exposed due to the high-voltage piercing electrode is solved. The piercing wire clamp is formed by combining an upper press plate, a middle press plate, a lower press plate, double-fastening nuts and pressure nuts, and semi-circular halves provided with triangular sharp teeth are arranged on the upper surface of the middle press plate and the lower surface of the upper press plate respectively and used for clamping the insulated wire. With the adoption of the asymmetric piercing electrode, under the conditions that a lightning arrester body is damaged and a gap is broken through, power-frequency follow current arcs can be dredged to the asymmetric arc-guiding foot for burning, are guided to be deviated from the wire and drift outwards in the direction away from an insulator.
