Determination of Dyestuff Formation Rate by Oxidative Hair Dyes in Dye Bath

A spectrophotometric method for determination of transmission at 700 nm has been applied as a quantitative measure for dyestuff formation rate, as well as for determination of L, a, b, C and h in Hunter Lab Color Space, for assessment of qualitative color change depending on the rate. It has been shown that the method can be used successfully for determining the influence of separate components upon oxi-dative hair dyes process rate.
