Reaction of 2-Alkoxy-4,5-diphenyl-1,3-oxazin-6-one with Different Alcohols and Elucidation of the Products.

In contrast to a previous report, reaction of title compounds (I) and (IV) with methanol (II) under reflux results in formation of carbamate esters (III), (V), and (VI) involving cleavage of the oxazinone ring.
