Estudio histórico sobre la conformación de la Fisioterapia Española en la segunda mitad del siglo XX a través de los acontecimientos más relevantes

Introduction: the events produced in relation to the conformation of Physiotherapy in Spain are one of the multiple characteristics that form the analysis of this parcel of the knowledge from an historical perspective, nevertheless, exists a deficit of studies in this scope. Objectives: to identify, to categorise and to describe the events that have been points of flexion in the history of Spanish Physiotherapy. Material and method: chrono logical comparative historical study that uses documentary sources (54) and sources cheers (36 subjects interviewed). Results: the sources cheers recognize a triangulation in facts of academic, professional and scientific type, presenting/displaying academic an irregular evolution and following a line of continuity the others. Generally, the excellent events ratified by the written sources are: the integration of the studies of Physiotherapy in the University (66 %), the approval of the Title of Degree and the creation of the Spanish Association of Physiotherapists (with individual percentage of 52.7%), the approval of the professional schools and the studies of doctorate (both with a 41.6%) and, finally, the creation of the Area of Knowledge of Physiotherapy (38.8%) and the process of opening of the University Schools (33.3%). Conclusions: the sources cheers offer an ample phantom of important events in the history of Physiotherapy, which allows us to categorise the academic, professional and scientific events in, being the integration of the studies of Physiotherapy in the University, the creation of the Spanish Association of Physiotherapists and the approval of the most outstanding studies of doctorate.
