Analysis on the Negative Transfer of Dialects to English Phonemes in Southeast of Guangxi

In Southeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,most of the people speak the dialects of Yue(also called Cantonese or Yueh),Hakka or Zhuang.These dialects are greatly different from English on phonetics.The paper employs the approach of contrastive study and analyzes the phonemic features which can mostly reveal the differences between English and these dialects,with the emphasis on the negative transfer of these native languages on English vowel phonemes and consonant phonemes,in the hope to explore the forms and causes of the mother tongue interference in native learners' English phonetic learning.
