Superlinearity of synthetic quartz : Dependence on pre-dose

1999
The highly superlinear 110°C glow peak of synthetic quartz is used in studying the recombination stage model of superlinearity. In the present study the concentration of the competing traps is controlled, so that the dependence of the degree of superlinearity on the number of competitqrs is established. The resulting thermoluminescence dose-response curves are fitted by analytical functions and the behaviour of the obtained analytical TL responses have been analysed through the superlinearity index g(D). The results show the experimental dependence of the superlinearity index on the concentration of competitors.
