A unionização das políticas educativas no contexto europeu

2008
This article deals with educational policies in the background of the evolutionary process of the European Union. We will mention economic and political conditioning factors that have lead to both the process of «European construction» and its underlying contradictions. In this context we will describe the projection of education from the sphere belonging exclusively to the nation-state, to its progressive absorption by regional treatises, evolving from an agreement in a «European educative dimension» towards a supranational governability of increasing solidness. The «Lisboa Strategy» (2000), the «Open Method for Coordination» and the groups of experts have special relevance in this process, contributing to the process by which the recent approval of the Constitutional Treatise of Lisboa (2008) will lead to an unprecedented harmonization in education
