Liquid crystal display device with wide viewing angle

The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device comprising a liquid crystal panel; a first polarizing plate which is attached at a first surface of the liquid crystal panel and and includes a first polarizing film, first and second optical compensation films which are positioned at one surface of the first polarizing film, and a phase retardation film, a supporting film and a functional film which are positioned at the other surface of the first polarizing film; and a second polarizing plate which is attached at a second surface of the liquid crystal panel and includes a second polarizing film, an inner supporting film positioned at one surface of the second polarizing film, and an external supporting film positioned at the other surface of the second polarizing film wherein the first polarizing film is positioned between the phase retardation film and the liquid crystal panel and the phase retardation film has a phase retardation value of λ/4.
