Olfactory Acuity of American and Japanese Subjects Tested with a T and T Olfactometer

1994
No standard method has yet been established to evaluate the sense of smell in patients with olfactory disorders. In Japan, we have been using the T and T olfactometer (Takasago, Tokyo, Japan) as a standard for this purpose since 1975. There have been very few studies of differences in olfactory acuity between American and Japanese subjects using the same olfactory test. In this study, we compared the olfactory acuity of American and Japanese subjects, using the T and T olfactometer.
