Opinião, ponto de vista e perspectiva - a construção da narrativa histórica e as questões de objetividade/verdade em História

Today’s societies deal with a growing stream of information from a variety of backgrounds, disseminated by several resources/channels and built on different concerns, interests and views. Often the expressions “opinion”, “point of view” and “perspective” are used without debating which meanings and ideas give shape to these expressions/concepts. This proposal aims to debate how idealistic conceptions, postmodernism and the “internal critical realism” understanding of the previous concepts. Our perspective is that history is a science that develops how we understand human reality and that debate is considered necessary to promote make decisions consciously. Historical narrative, the material face of history, regardless of its support, is natural and legitimately multiperspective, considering that it is in mutual criticism that validity can emerge in the most sophisticated forms and we can construct historical understanding in an interperspectived way. This debate may contribute to clarify frequent “noises” that mirror interests relative to the historical truth(s) that can bring more sophisticated historical ideas and narratives built up in multiple and plural dialogue.
