Use of the Enzyme Thermistor as a Flow Analyzer in Biotechnology

A continuous-flower analyzer, enzyme thermistor, based on the use of immobilized enzymes in a simple flow calorimeter has been applied in various types of analysis in biotechnology. The applications reported include: enzymatic determination of metabolites in bioreactors, continuous monitoring of metabolites, recording of thermograms of microorganisms and monitoring of enzymic activity, especially in chromatographic processes.
