Dose-related effects of isoprenaline on the distribution of cardiac output and myocardial blood flow in conscious monkeys

1973
Intravenous isoprenaline infusions in conscious monkeys gave dose-related increased blood flow and falls in resistance to heart, skeletal muscle, intestines, adipose tissue, and bone. The fraction of cardiac output to brain, kidney, skin, and pancreas fell. There was a small but statistically significant increase in the fraction of myocardial blood flow to the atria with a fall in that to the intraventricular septum.
