Conformation of Crystalline 3-(4-Methoxyphenyl)-2,2,4,4-tetramethylpentane

The structure of the title compound, C 16 H 26 O, has shown that the plane of the benzene ring lies almost perpendicular [87.9 (2)°] to the plane C(2),C(3),C(4).
