Metabolism of the chemosterilant hempa by carbamate-resistant house flies

Abstract Microsomal preparations from carbamate-resistant house flies metabolize hempa more rapidly than those from insecticide-susceptible flies. However, the increased amount of the metabolizing enzymes does not confer resistance to the sterilizing effect of hempa.
