Examination of the effect of the Journals Online Project on local research

The Journals Online Project began in 1998, but it has gone from strength to strength. The African Journals Online project is now managed independently in Africa and INASP is working on five JOLs in Asia and Latin America. The effect of this project on the visibility of local journals will be examined in this paper.
