Low-Nonlinearity, Dispersion-Compensated Transmission Line with a Chirped Fiber Bragg Grating and Its Application to Ultrahigh-Speed Coherent Nyquist Pulse Transmission

We demonstrate a low-nonlinearity, dispersion-compensated transmission line for ultrahigh-speed transmission using a 10 m-long chirped fiber Bragg grating. The BER was improved from 1.7x10-2 to 4.5x10-3 in a single-channel 15.3 Tbit/s-75 km Nyquist pulse transmission.
