Chemoenzymatic asymmetric synthesis of harzia lactone A stereomers

Abstract A facile chemoenzymatic synthesis of the harzia lactone A enantiomers was developed. A lipase-catalyzed acylation and an enantio-controlled substrate and reagent-controlled Sharpless’ asymmetric dihydroxylation are the key features of the synthesis.
